Photography has always been more than just capturing moments—it’s a way of connecting, of telling stories and of celebrating the beauty and strength of women. My journey into Empowerment Photography is deeply personal, shaped by my lifelong love for photography and my desire to help women feel seen, valued, and celebrated.
Let me share the story behind the lens and why this path feels like home to me.
1. A Camera in My Hand Since Childhood
I’ve had a camera in my hand for as long as I can remember. As a child, I would borrow my father’s Nikon film camera to capture the world as I saw it—its beauty, its light and its emotions. Photography became a way for me to express myself and explore my creativity, but also to remember moments (I have such a bad memory).
Those early days shaped the way I see the world through a lens today. Even now, decades later, the magic of photography still feels the same—an endless adventure of discovery and connection.
2. Empowerment Photography: A Calling
As a woman raised by my incredible mother, I learned firsthand the strength, resilience and beauty women possess. Growing up with just her by my side gave me a profound appreciation for the power of sisterhood and the importance of lifting each other up.
Photography became my way of celebrating this connection. Empowerment Photography isn’t about creating perfect images—it’s about creating space for women to embrace their raw, authentic selves. My sessions are designed to be transformative, where vulnerability becomes strength and self-doubt melts into confidence.
“To me, empowerment photography isn’t about posing—it’s about revealing. It’s about showing women the light they already have inside.”
3. Living My Values: A Simple, Active Life
Today, I live in Burleigh Heads on the Gold Coast with my husband and two children. We’re a plant-based family, passionate about wellness, surfing and embracing a simple, sustainable and slow lifestyle. My husband and I are both certified yoga teachers, having completed our training together in Goa, India.
Our days are filled with the rhythm of the ocean, nourishing food and the joy of raising our kids in a mindful, organic way. This grounding in wellness and simplicity deeply influences my photography. My sessions are as much about self-care and connection as they are about creating beautiful portraits.
“Empowerment Photography, to me, is like a wellness treatment—a moment to reconnect with yourself, with the bonus of timeless memories to cherish.”
4. Why I Focus on Women
Women inspire me endlessly. From mothers embracing their post-baby bodies to professionals reclaiming their confidence, every woman I meet has a story worth celebrating.
Empowerment Photography allows me to hold a mirror up to my clients and remind them of their worth. It’s about capturing not just their image, but their strength, their resilience, and their light.
5. Behind the Lens: My Approach
My sessions are collaborative, intuitive and deeply personal. I take the time to understand your story, your vision and what you want to celebrate. Whether we’re shooting on the beach, in nature or in the comfort of your home, I create a safe, supportive environment where you can feel free to be yourself.
As a mother of two, I know how important it is to create space for women to feel valued and comfortable. My Moroccan warmth and French attention to detail come together to craft images that feel timeless and deeply connected to you.
6. A Testament to the Process
“I never thought I could feel so comfortable in front of the camera, but Linda made it effortless. Her guidance, warmth, and genuine care made me feel seen in a way I never had before. The photos weren’t just beautiful—they were transformative.”
